URL-Based Pre-Population

If you would like to create multi-use links that include pre-populated data, this feature is for you. Maybe you don’t have contact information for everyone you would like to survey, so you can’t send a direct email. However, you know enough information to answer one or two questions for each group of participants.

Here’s how:

1. In the top right corner of the screen, click on the Utilities button.
2. On the Utilities page, select URL-Based Pre-Population.
3. Choose your project from the dropdown menu.
4. Choose Hard Coded or Variable values to pre-populate in the project for each question being pre-populated.
   • Hard Coded – if the answer is already known
   • Variable – if the value will be introduced programmatically

When sharing or re-using this link, be sure to use the original URL. Otherwise, pre-populated values will be lost.

5. Click on Generate URL Now to complete the process.
